Charles Patton Department of Sociology

Charles Patton (M.A., 2007, Sociology; B.A., 2005, Communication) is a PhD candidate in the Department of Sociology at Ohio State. He works for the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity as a graduate associate. His current work examines how the impact of home loans on crime varies for ethnoracial neighborhoods that have historically been marginalized (black and Latino) versus those that are privileged (white areas).  His research interests also include historical U.S. race relations, stratification, and urban studies.
